Katja Geršak

Katja Geršak was one of the three co-founders of Regional Dialogue and held the position of Deputy Director until 2013. Before assuming the position of an Executive Director at Regional Dialogue in 2022, she was the Executive Director of Centre for European Perspective, an Institute under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, working in areas of regional cooperation, peace and security, and strategic communication. In that capacity she was also the co-organizer of Bled Strategic Forum, the largest foreign policy forum in SEE, hosting heads of states, ministers and leaders of international organizations. Katja was the Editor-in-Chief of the Bled Strategic Times, the designated publication of the Bled Strategic Forum. Prior to that she worked as the Vice-President of Business Angels of Slovenia which involved mentoring start-ups, selecting investment opportunities and facilitating investments for business angels and venture funds. Katja holds an MPhil in International Studies from Cambridge University, UK and a BA in International Relations from George Washington University, Washington DC.
