Mjuša Sever

Mjuša Sever is a co-founder and Director of Regional Dialogue, and Senior Advisor of the Regional Dialogue branch office in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Sever is an international development professional, experienced practitioner, trainer, and analyst, with 30 years of experience in the Balkans during the wars of former Yugoslavia. Sever served as Adviser to the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia (1996-2000) and later worked as OSCE mission team leader in Kosovo and Serbia. Sever's long-term engagements include Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, and primarily Uzbekistan. With her background in psychology and journalism, her experience includes political analysis, program design, and training, as well as management, strategic planning, implementation and evaluation, staff recruiting and leadership, fundraising, as well as finance and budget management. Her special focus is democratization, mainly in the areas of protection of human rights, rule of law, media, and gender issues.
